Hope!
Hope, faith, and love are the three symbols that best describe true Christians.
I wonder what hope is from the Bible’s point of view?
Daily verse
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1, KJV)
Daily reading
In the book of Hebrews chapter 11, Paul is saying that desire and faith are connected. Hope is confidence in what we believe. While I am praying to the Lord, I expect my prayer to be answered. Therefore I have faith in the Lord and hope in something I haven’t seen yet. If you don’t have enough hope in your life, then ask the Lord the help you in your faith. The opposite of hope is despair. You cannot be full of hope and despair at the same time. In conclusion, hope is a choice we make ourselves. When you hope for people or things, they can let you down. Unlike humans, God is faithful, and He will never let you down. God is faithful! God is good!
The enemy does not sleep; he attacks in various ways. He can attack your mind, to make you feel sorry for yourself. These are all his lies. God loves you and will give you the strength to hope in Him again. Prayer is our weapon against any attack. Ask God to help you resist any attack. Lord will make you stronger in His Spirit.
Hope is also strongly connected with worship. Praise God, bless him, glorify his name! Aspiration and glory go together. Thank God through worship and thanksgiving. Praise Him now for waking you up this morning so you can enjoy another of his days. Ask how you can praise Him today. May He be glorified through you! Remember it is a choice.
Homework: Read Hebrews 11 and Psalm 71. Take time to worship before your study.
God bless you!
