David, the poet!
The poet! A lot of titles go with David, among them, there is the poet! David liked to sing and play for God. David played the harp in the court of the emotionally ill and demon-possessed king Saul. The Spirit of the Lord had departed from Saul, and an evil spirit had entered into him.
And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him. (1 Samuel 16:23)
Why did the evil spirit leave Saul? How was David able to help?
It is quite simple. David was singing to God, he was obedient to Him. David knew the road to the real realm, and the crown; he obeyed Saul even when Saul tried to kill him. David stayed humbled and faithful to Saul. After Samuel anointed David for the king, what did David do? He went back to the mountain so he can continue to be a shepherd. For that gesture, the Lord was very pleased with David. Imagine people today if someone came to them and said: “Hey, I am a prophet, and you will be a kind!”. Immediately we share, like, subscribe, post on social networks, etc. But try yo compare your life with these two figures. If you are a humble servant of the Lord and your life is mostly like David’s, you are fine! Continue the good work!
However, if your life decisions are similar to Saul’s, then you can be exposed to the evil spirits. Don’t be surprised if you have problems with fear, anxiety, and attacks from the enemy. Not only that you are open for attacks from evil spirits, but also closed for the Spirit of the Lord.
To summarize: Don’t be afraid, Lord is faithful! He will never leave you! Repent all your sins, including pride and disobedience. Worship Him today as David was on the pastures. Pray that God relives you His truth and free you from every lie! Jesus, break every chain. I believe God will burn our hearts with His fire!
